Cleveland Zoological Society's 39th Annual ZippityZooDoo

CLEVELAND – April 20, 2012 – The Cleveland Zoological Society hosts the 39th annual ZippityZooDoo, Zoolin Rouge on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. ZippityZooDoo has raised almost $1 million in the last decade alone and this year’s gala is expected to raise $250,000 in support of the Zoo’s conservation education mission.

Guests will spend a wild night in “Paris” partying with l’éléphants, enjoying colossal cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a delicious gourmet dinner and dancing under the stars to the sounds of the Jerry Bruno Orchestra.

ZippityZooDoo also features the Wild Side silent auction, which includes many unique Zoo experience packages. Guests may bid on a variety of one-of-a-kind opportunities including an overnight at the Zoo’s Rising Waters Safari Camp or a private tour of African Elephant Crossing followed by dinner with Zoo Director, Steve Taylor and his lovely wife.

The Cleveland Zoological Society promotes Cleveland Metroparks Zoo as a civic funding priority and maintains the largest membership program in Northeast Ohio (45,000 households). Zoo Society donors help underwrite the Zoo’s margin of excellence by contributing 50% of the funding for major capital improvements and 15% of the Zoo’s annual operating budget.
