Twilight at the Zoo tickets are on sale

CLEVELAND – MAY 1, 2014 –Tickets are on sale now for Twilight at the Zoo on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight hosted by the Cleveland Zoological Society. Cleveland’s largest fundraiser entertains 7,000 guests and is expected to raise $550,000 for the Zoo Society, the advancement partner of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

Celebrating 21 years of music and fun, Twilight at the Zoo spotlights 17 local bands and offers a variety of music that ranges from funk to folk, rock to reggae. Admission for all partygoers includes cover charge, hors d’oeuvres, complimentary Samuel Adams beer and Jacob’s Creek wine, Angry Orchard hard cider, Twisted Tea and soda. Food stations will be located throughout the Zoo, allowing guests to graze as they enjoy the summer’s biggest fundraising event.

Festivities kick-off with a VIP party starting at 6:00 p.m. VIP guests receive premier parking, high-end cocktails and premium hors d’oeuvres from AMP 150, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, Mitchell’s Fish Market, Auts Tipse Treats and Vitamix.

Continuing with last year’s recycling success, the Zoo Society will continue to coordinate with Aramark, sponsors, Rosby Resource Recycling, and others to keep Twilight at the Zoo a ZERO WASTE event. The majority of the more than 2.5 tons of waste created during the evening is compostable or recyclable and will be collected and separated properly, keeping those materials from going to a landfill.
