What are the hours of this special fundraising event?
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., last vehicle enters tour at 3:30 p.m.
Can I get out of my vehicle?
No, guests must stay in their vehicles at all times. If there is an Emergency situation, there will be marked pull-off areas during the tour.
“Guests participating in Cruise the Zoo drive through experience at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo are hereby prohibited from exiting their vehicle except in designated safety zones or unless exigent circumstances exist. Regulation 509.01 (a)(5). Violation of this is a minor misdemeanor.”
What size vehicle can I use to tour the Zoo?
Vehicle size limited to 20 feet in length, and 6 ½ feet width, for example a Ford F250 truck. It is recommended for guests to drive their smallest vehicle, if possible.
For the Savannah path, largest vehicle allowed would be standard Minivan.

How much does a ticket cost?
$40.00 per car, one tour for General Admission. For Cleveland Zoological Society members, $20.00 per car, one tour.
What does my ticket include?
One drive through cruise, along with an audio-guided tour.
How long is the experience?
Times may vary, the average estimated time is around 30 to 45 minutes. There may be a longer wait time to enter this special fundraising event.
Do I need to buy tickets online or can the tickets be purchased on site?
All tickets must be purchased online in advance; tickets are timed in one-hour time slots. Tickets must be shown before entering the Zoo at two locations. Please make sure your ticket is available to show staff prior to entering. Printed tickets are preferred at this time.
I purchased tickets online, what do I do next?
Online tickets can be printed or they can be directly scanned off your phone. Printed tickets are preferred at this time.

Do you drive through in your own vehicle or do you have shuttles available to rent?
You will drive your own vehicle. There are no shuttles available.
What parts of the Zoo will I NOT be able to see?
The Cruise the Zoo fundraising event will not include any part of Australian Adventure or Primate, Cat & Aquatic area; all buildings will remain closed.

Please note: some animals may not be visible.
Are face masks required?
Face coverings are highly suggested but not required, especially by the driver of the vehicle when interacting with Zoo staff. All Zoo staff will be wearing a mask.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed.
Will there be food and drinks available for purchase?
There will be pull-off areas available for guests to purchase a variety of snacks and small eats.
Can I bring in my own food and drinks?
Yes, outside food and drinks (excluding alcohol) are permitted.
Will there be restrooms available?
There are restrooms available prior to entrance of the Zoo. Restrooms will be unavailable on Zoo grounds.
Can I drive through in a convertible with the top down or motorcycle?
Convertibles are permitted, motorcycles are not.
Can we ride in the back of a truck?
No, all guests must remain inside a vehicle.
Once I exit the Zoo, can I go through again on the same day?
No, unless another available ticket is purchased.
Are discounts available?
No discounts are available for this special fundraising Event.
Why don’t Zoo Society members get in free?
Cruise the Zoo is a limited-time special event that will help raise needed revenue for the Zoo during its closure. Like all Zoo special events, members receive a discounted ticket price. Memberships are being extended to cover the time the Zoo is closed, and members will receive free entry to the zoo once it reopens.
Are refunds or rainchecks available for inclement weather?
No – this is a rain or shine fundraising event. No rainchecks are available.
Can I smoke in my car?
No, the Zoo is a tobacco-free campus.
