Illegal wildlife trade is a global problem threatening the survival of iconic species and causing significant changes to communities throughout the world. Learn how Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is combatting illegal wildlife trade and working with zoos across the United States on strategic international efforts to address trafficking and raise awareness of the dangerous demand for illegal wildlife products.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Executive Director Christopher Kuhar, Ph.D., will lead a discussion featuring Dan Ashe, President and CEO of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and Kym Gopp, Curator of Conservation at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
Reservations are free for ZooKeepers Circle members at the Naturalists Club level and above (two per membership); $10 for all other Zoo Society members; $15 for general public. Light refreshments included.
