2020 Summer Event Notice

Based on direction from health experts to promote safe events during the challenges of COVID-19, Zoo Society event offerings will be modified this summer for the safety of guests, staff and our animals. Events offerings will have reduced capacity and are subject to limited availability. Please view a list of the complete safety guidelines Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is following here.

Here are a few things to know before you attend a Zoo Society event:

Event guests will present a digital or printed ticket for easy, contact-free entry.
Not sure where to stand when you arrive? Don’t worry, we’ll have line markers for you.
Face coverings are required for all Zoo and event visitors. Zoo staff are also required to wear face coverings while on zoo grounds.
Practice social distancing. Do your part, stay six feet away from other guests.
Dining and cocktail tables, if applicable, will be placed at a safe distance from other guest tables.
Menus and service styles are changing. This will reduce face-to-face interactions and guest touchpoints. We will have grab-and-go options, plated meals and more table service.
Please be sure to wash your hands frequently to stop the spread of germs! Additional hand sanitizer and hand washing stations are available throughout the park. Try to not touch railings and glass habitat viewing areas if possible.
Additional protocols and procedures may be announced closer to the event date, as instructed by the government and health officials. Please check this page for the most current information on event updates and safety procedures.
