Zebra walking in shade

Looking for a thoughtful way to honor a loved one? A dedicated bench or sign can commemorate their love of animals or fond family memories at the Zoo.

Honor and Memorial

Honor and Memorial

Plan a memorial or tribute to your loved one. All gift sizes are accepted.

This program can honor all the important occasions that fill our lives such as birthdays, marriages, anniversaries, graduations, retirements, and memorials. These contributions support the Cleveland Zoo Society’s Zoo Fund.

When you make a memorial or honor donation you will receive a receipt acknowledging your gift. If you choose, we will also send a letter to the individual(s) being honored or a family member of your loved one who has passed, informing them of your gift but keeping the amount of your gift confidential.

Obituary Information

If you want to direct family and friends to make gifts to the Cleveland Zoological Society, the following is suggested wording for an obituary:

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Cleveland Zoological Society in memory of {deceased name}, Cleveland Zoological Society, 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, OH 44109 or online at ClevelandZooSociety.org/memorial.
