Lights for Lions: Recycle Your Old Holiday Lights

Help support Cleveland Metroparks Zoo by recycling your used and broken string lights and extension cords!

WHAT:
Broken, non-working or used strings of lights and extension cords (no packaging, please).

HOW & WHERE:
Bring your items to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and place in the bins near the Zoo's main entrance (no Zoo ticket required). Or, drop them off at the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District in Garfield Heights. Bins will be at the Zoo's main entrance through February 10, 2025.

WHY:
This simple act supports the protection of lions and other large carnivores in East Africa, keeps plastics out of landfills, and provides funding for the community-based work of Lion Landscapes.
