Help support Cleveland Metroparks Zoo by recycling your used and broken string lights and extension cords!

Lights for Lions has recycled 46.61 tons of material and raised $37,809 for lion and other large carnivore conservation to date.
WHAT:
Broken, non-working or used strings of lights and extension cords (no packaging, please).
HOW & WHERE:
Bring your items to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and place in the bins near the Zoo's main entrance (no Zoo ticket required). Or, drop them off at the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District in Garfield Heights. Bins will be at the Zoo's main entrance through February 15, 2025.
WHY:
Proceeds from this mutually beneficial recycling program support Lion Landscapes, your Zoo's partner in large carnivore conservation. Lion Landscapes employs community-based solutions for protecting lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards, and wild dogs in East Africa with the goal of making their conservation valuable to the people who live alongside them.
