TRUTH! In a behavior called percussive foraging, aye-ayes tap tree branches with their long fingers and use echolocation to detect where the insects are inside. Their large, sensitive ears help them hear subtle auditory feedback from the tapping. Then, they tear through the wood and dig them out to eat.
Aye-ayes have another trait that separates them from other primates: their incisors never stop growing. For this reason, they were initially thought to be rodents, and like rodents, they need to chew.
