Camp out at the Zoo this summer!
Do you have a tween who loves the Zoo’s Summer Camp and they wish they could just sleep there? Now they can! In addition to the Zoo’s popular week-long offerings, new this year is a Conservation Leadership Camp for ages 10-14.
Young conservationists will experience what it's like to be a wildlife biologist by participating in field activities such as camera trapping, radio telemetry tracking and animal behavior observation. They will learn more about Zoo careers, conservation field partners, and sustainability as they hone in on leadership skills working with other camp groups and staff throughout the week. The best part? Campers will stay overnight at the Zoo's Rising Waters Safari Camp on Thursday evening of each session. Dinner Thursday and breakfast Friday morning will be provided; campers are responsible for bringing overnight gear.
Summer camp registration opened February 1 and weeks book up quickly, so register now for your favorite week or the Conservation Leadership Camp. Remember: Zoo Society members get a discount on each camp week!
